The tour guides will take you to four historic pubs, each with a unique backstory, where you will hear about the life and works of Poe, including his time living in New York City. The pubs on the tour include The White Horse Tavern, where Bob Dylan and Jack Kerouac once drank; The Ear Inn, a prohibition-era speakeasy; The Merchant’s House Museum, a preserved 19th century townhome; and McSorley’s Old Ale House, one of the oldest bars in the city.

At each pub, guests will have the opportunity to purchase drinks and mingle with their fellow tour-goers before heading to the next location. The total tour time is around two and a half hours, and guests will walk just over half a mile between each pub.

During the tour, guides will regale guests with historical facts about the pubs and the neighborhood, as well as fascinating stories about Poe and the inspiration behind his unforgettable tales of mystery and horror.
